Hello, and welcome to Tom's Travel Diaries!

I put up this website to describe some of my recent vacation trips within the United States, and also to share some of the photographs I have taken on these trips. My site currently includes pictures from New Orleans and the National Parks in Utah and Arizona. In addition to the major destinations featured above, I have pictures from Montezuma Castle National Park, Bell Rock, and Phoenix. For pictures from my recent trip to Scotland, visit my related site "Travels in Scotland".

The Temple of Sinawava The pictures from the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, and Monument Valley were taken using a Nikon camera. I used disposable cameras in New Orleans and Zion National Park. In fact, the picture taken in Zion's Temple of Sinawava, seen at the left, is one of my favorites in this collection.

A fish at the Baltimore National AquariumOn April 15, 2001, a group of friends and I went on a trip to the Baltimore Inner Harbor. While there, we visited the Baltimore National Aquarium and saw the ships on display at the Baltimore Maritime Museum. Among other things, the aquarium had a fascinating display of seahorses. I have included a variety of pictures from this trip.

I have also included pictures from a visit to the Washington, D.C. Mall, including photos of some of my favorite sculptures from the sculpture garden at the Hirschorn Museum. These pictures were taken with a Minolta Maxxum STsi single lens reflex camera.
